I am enthusiastic about involvement in the construction industry and activities that shape our built environment and foster communities.

Some years ago now (eek, was it really 2002) I graduated from Uni with a degree in Quantity Surveying, became a QS (construction cost manager) and enjoyed working at senior levels in construction. More recently I have worked around ‘Mummying’ and done some other ‘good stuff’. I am fortunate and thankful to have been able to do this, but I miss the construction industry.

I have learnt ‘I am what I do’ and working in build teams drives my energy. What our build teams achieve gets seen and used by many for years and forms the built environment that influences our communities and day to day lives. The commitment, skills, and experience of ALL involved in instigating and delivering projects warrants merit. The project teams make success reality and being part of good teams with good people, realising good results is where I find reward in my role. I always strive to perform to the best of my abilities for best team outcome. It’s just the way I’m built.

A taster of my experience and achievements:

Roles: Managing QS (Main Contractor) Senior QS (Main Contractor and Professional Practice) Assistant Project Manager (Pre Construction)

Projects: Marlborough Schools, Kainga Ora Social Housing, Christchurch Girls High, Benmore HVDC Pole 3, Supreme Court Wellington, Rimutaka Prison, Residential Developments (Leeds, UK), York College

Employers: The Building Intelligence Group, Mike Greer Commercial, Gap Filler, Arrow International, Rawlinsons, Mainzeal, Interserve, Turner and Townsend

Academia: Sheffield Hallam (UK) First Class BSc(Hons) Quantity Surveying, Gleeds top student award, Dissertation on Supply Chain Management published

Testimonies, employment history and academic achievements allows me to say with confidence that I am a very capable construction professional. I enjoy communicating at the board table, with site teams at smoko and clients equally. I can fit into a variety of teams and have skills and character that benefit construction projects.

Don’t be shy, give me a call. I’m always happy to talk about projects and how we could work together.

I am intrinsically motivated to give my best to the teams I work with.
